FAQ's
When is payment due?
To confirm your order, you must pay a 50% deposit prior to the manufacturing process beginning. The remaining balance is then due on delivery.
How long will my order take to make?
All our work is design and manufactured to client’s specification. This makes it difficult to predict how long your order will take to make. Prior to placing your order, we will discuss a timescale with you. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and a delivery timescale.
How do I contact you after placing my order?
We will contact you via phone and email the majority of the time, with on-site visits if necessary. We use email to easily exchange documents such as drawings, quotations and so on. If you would prefer these documents send via post, please specify this in the quotation process.
What security measures do you recommend fitting to doors and windows?
We recommend that your doors and windows are fitted with PAS-24 3-point Multi-point locks. These locks are the best way to protect your doors and windows from forced physical entry. Compared to single-point locks, these locks provide a far higher degree of security since there are three points of resistance, rather than one.
We also recommend that all doors are fitted with Kitemarked SoldSecure Diamond-Standard cylinders into the locks. These cylinders meet the new TS007 security standard which is recommended by the police and numerous insurance companies to give homeowners the highest level of home security. Unlike other locking cylinders, the cylinders we recommend cannot be drilled, snapped or bumped making your home safe from cylinder attack.
Why should I choose bespoke joinery rather than "off the shelf" alternatives?
Although you can buy doors, windows or conservatories from hardware stores for example, the designs are conventional. Anyone, including your neighbour, can purchase the same joinery as you from that store making your purchase a little less personal.
We are a small joinery firm that cares about the products we provide to you. We aim to have a personal relationship with you so that any of your queries are resolved as soon as possible.
With renovations or changes to listed buildings, many "off the shelf" products will either be incompatible with the building in terms of size or they do not comply with Planning Control. We can design and manufacture joinery that fit into your building and comply with relevant legislation meaning your joinery blends with your home, rather than you having to change your property to fit around "off the shelf" products.
What can I customize on my joinery or individual item?
Anything. It is up to you to tell us what you want, and for us to make it possible. We welcome your ideas in the design process. This helps us ensure the end product meets your requirements.
